The following 'ships have already qualified to move on to the final showdown whether they win this round (tourney brackets) or not. This round is to determine the top dog of each individual bracket and maybe get an idea of how the voting will go come finals time. THIS IS FOR BRAGGING RIGHTS! Good Luck.

Poll will be re-open at 10 AM EST tomorrow and remain open until 10 PM EST Thursday, October 8th.

All polls have been closed as of 10 PM EST. We will now take a couple of days to briefly check for obvious socks. We're trusting that you guys would not be so cruel as to put us through another hunt for puppets. *fingers crossed* Have your pimpin' hats ready because our Championship Round (Round 4) begins on Friday.

- We have, IIRC, one more Round 1 and Round 3 to go. We'll be playing catch-up with those two groups all next week. The final showdown should go up on Friday, September 18th, 2009. We will keep that poll up for a week and crown our first ever champion on Saturday, September 26th, 2009.

We now know that the following teams {Tyra voice} are still in the running to become {/Tyra voice} our first ever #1 and reign supreme above all (by virtue of winning their 3rd round match):

( Round III - Part IV )

A couple of things:

- We have decided to proclaim today as 'Do Over Sunday'. After countless hours spent slouched over the computer screen going over each and every username (over hundreds, dude) trying to figure out what and what not to count, we've decided to void out all results for those two or three questionable polls from July. New ones will be going up sometime today and we look forward to crowning our first champions from those particular tourney brackets. Remember that all pairings that reach Round #4 automatically move on regardless of whether they win their tourney bracket. And we'll hopefully get to the ultimate showdown by the end of this month. *fingers crossed*

- During the final showdown you'll have a number of votes to spread around to your favorites. The pairings/threesomes with the top ten scores will become our 1st EVAH TOP TEN OF HOTNESS (sort of like very own homecoming court only... NOT). And the 'ship with the highest score will be our FAIREST AND HOTTEST OF ALL. We're thinking artwork of some kind featuring them will grace our user info and maybe *hint hint* (if a kind fan steps forward) a new community header for the year until we do it all over again. *hands*

- There will be a few matches that we'll need you re-vote on as they were inadvertently set up incorrectly or skipped over in the sea of over 400 'ships. Don't worry! The results of these match-ups will not affect what has already been settled up to now. We don't foresee any problems; just trying to tie up all loose ends before the finals.

So our first Round #2 poll closed and the pairings (under the cut) are the first to move on to Round #3 which will begin (hopefully) this weekend. Remember that the 'ship that survives their 3rd match-up will automatically make it into the final showdown (no matter if they are able to win their bracket or not).

Since our August deadline is looming, we've decided to run both rounds concurrently until we whittle our 'ships down for the eventual Final Battle.
