not of Sunnydale *nodnod* kindkit's Giles in the "Bath" story has an absolutely wonderful reflection on that theme - And Oz was never one of the children, his memories insist as he tongues his way up the blue veins of Oz's wrist. Not like the others were, a lifetime on the hellmouth leaving their coltish silliness untouched. Oz was something else, ageless and wise. Giles is, of course, leaving himself out of the comparison, and I think that's because he never thought of Sunnydale as home, but as *Buffy's* home.
