In "Sanctuary" when Wes allows Angel to take care of Faith despite what she did to him, fools the Watcher Council's assassins, and protects Angel during the battle with them in Angel's apartment.
Now I realize that I should have just left in the 50% of this essay that I cut out! LOL Yes, I love that in "Sanctuary," even though Wes is angry, he understands that Angel has to save Faith in order to save himself.
When Wes finds the evidence that Angel planted to make it look like he helped in Fred's death to get into the Black Thorns, Wes doesn't try to kill Angel (like he did Gunn), but instead confronts him about it.
When Wes is standing up for Angel in that scene, saying to the gang that Angel would *never* give them over to Evil? I CRIED.
