Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the essay as well. I've been reading DC stuff for a couple of months, and I liked Dick/Tim immediately. Just exactly what you said, they can understand each other on a level unavailable to anyone else ever. They need each other.
And it didn't seem creepy that Tim worshipped Dick for like ten years until you put it the way you did. There's something not quite right there. ;)
Thanks for the essay, it did clarify a thing or two for me, and I know nothing of recent canon (nor most canon past Dick leaving Bats other than what I've read in fics), so this helped get me further up to date. And recs are always awesome. :)
