I find it interesting that you didn't linger on Bad Wolf -- the Rose dialogue in that episode ... her refrains of "the Doctor will come, the Doctor wouldn't leave me" and his "I'm coming for you" in Bad Wolf are a great resolution to the ongoing "fear of abandonment" thread through the season.
