Raito very much strikes me as a split personality - I see "good" Raito as being Kira's first victim, sometimes. The appearence contrast is striking and intriguing.
You haven't been a DN fan as long as I have, but I remember when that scene came out... the fangirls were SCREAMING. ^_^ It's definitely aimed more at women, I think.
