^^ I really enjoyed the essay. I've actually never seen the GW episodes but I've seen Endless Waltz and I've read the manga.
Relena's not my favorite character (and despite my icon-- I just found it funny), but since I haven't seen the anime so I don't really have a right to an opinion of her, anyway.
I think I've noticed you used "roll" (as in action, or a bread roll. Yum.) instead of "role" (like, character role, or importance) a couple of times. Hope you don't mind me pointing that out.
