You know, I first saw this movie when I was nine or so, and I didn't see the slash. Of course, I didn't know what slash was back then; I just thought Denton's interest in David was creepy and Jack and David's friendship was sweet.
Then I grew up and read slash fic (starting at around age 16). And watched Remember the Titans, and Miracle, and heck, even rewatched The Mighty Ducks movies... and if the slash potential isn't obvious you could knock me over with a feather (in all these movies... well, not so much in Miracle, but that's mainly because the charaters' real-life counterparts are, uh, still alive)! I'm now convinced that all Disney RL movies must include preslash or homoerotic subtext between at least two hot guys.
