I just stumbled on this comm, and reading this entry is like a very nice, shiny bit of time travel, so thank you from the future (where R/H is totally canon). You were right! I was much slower catching on, but then I didn't have the DVDs for ages. I had this much less fun theory that Harry still suspected Ruth of being a mole and I feared she would be thrown out or something and therefore missed Harry/Ruth until The Book - and, then I was almost exactly where this essay was and wondering with baited breath what S5 would bring for them.

And now we're all Ruth/Harry shippers. Aren't we? ;-)
