Aww, thanks for the compliments! I was initially like "Wha, a review of GB? I was just writing about why I like pairing up Ban/Gin!" But I sort of did have to summarize the series to explain it, didn't I...? -_-
Amusingly, GB is also the first anime/manga I've really gotten into. I mean, sure, I watched Sailor Moon and Ranma and so on back in the day, but I was never so fascinated by them as I am by GB. (Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I actually like the main characters in GB... and actually, all the characters. ;) So darned likable.)
And yeah, soulmates is a word that comes to mind with Ban and Ginji. Paul's a smart guy, and I think he was right about the two of them completing each other. And Teshimine commented on it during the IL arc... and Maria said something about it during the card arc... The whole theme of GB seems to be about just how deep partnerships can go (no wonder it's slashed to heck and back), and the two of them seem to be the prime example.
