This is a tour de force. Just fucking brilliant. And, as someone who wrote a (long and rambling) paper (http://speakcyb.org/anize/Olivia) about Olivia's purported obvious lesbianism [/shameless self-promotion], one might say I know what I'm talking about (I've linked to this essay there).

For those of us who are obsessive-compulsive detail-oriented, the comprehensiveness of your overview of the relevant canon is a little slice of heaven. You offer not only an invaluable chronicle of the development of the ship, but a fascinating and unique record of the interpretive practices of (lesbian-identified) viewers in this fandom. [/geek] Yay!

Plus, you are hilarious (as always). The word "Hoyaydar" alone makes this essay well worth the trip.

Oh, and you may be able to answer my question: is the necklace Olivia has been conspicuously wearing this season the *Alex* necklace?
