Yeah, season 3 definitely cemented Rysten as my OTP. Because I just don't think Sandy deserves Kirsten. I've always seen them having too many problems, while Ryan is just kinda right there whenever Kirsten needs him, just silently adoring her, and it just... fit.
And the complexity of them being soulmates is what's so compelling, but the best part about them is also that it's just so very... simple. He loves her, she loves him, the end.
That AU fic is a good idea! I've got a few ideas bouncing around now because of it. I just have such a hard time writing AU sometimes, because I almost don't want to mess with the dynamic. Rysten's hard to manipulate, but I could certainly give it a try :D
