I can truly see why there are ardent lovers of this couple. When you look at it from this angle - they are equals, and friends first. I've never really thought of the H/Hr or R/Hr ships to be honest, but due to this essay, I may just have to reread canon and give the links a go.

It's funny, I never really thought much about H/Hr and R/Hr either. I think I vaguely registered the Krum/Hermione thing and the Harry/Cho thing, but it was seeing PoA, the movie, that made me look at things in a whole new light. I think that it's partly because the shipping stuff is so much more obvious in the movie. Anyway - to bring this pointless ramble to a long over-due point - I was intrigued by H/Hr and, ever since, have been trying to figure out why.
It's nice not to have people shrieking from the monitor at times.
