God, I feel like I'm doomed to like pairings that are angsty. Thank you for summing up every feeling I had towards these two characters. Kouichi and Raimei have always been my two favorite characters from the beginning, and I have been following Nabari since it first started. It was not your outright, cliche, "I love/like you" but "You took my heart" took my breath away even more. I'd say that that scene was "Kouichi's moment of truth". I'll have to wait for a "Raimei moment".
It's a little bit harder to tell on Raimei's part, if she feels the same, because we only get to see a Raimei who would show the same care and do the same for Raikou and Miharu. Raimei is only being herself in wanting to stop Kouichi from self-destruction. I think Raimei has always viewed their relationship as platonic. But that will soon change, yes? Or perhaps it already -has- changed.
