Not my pairing (I'm more Tony/McGee), but interesting. I saw how McGee doesn't back off Gibbs like the others, even since Sub Rosa. I wonder if it plays in taking him in his team.
I'll have to rewatch Legend, but I think Gibbs let Tony thinks he liked the discussion in the plane, when Tony tried one of his usual prank.
Then I was told that Gibbs/McGee was the only NCIS pairing that wouldn’t work.
*laughs* Last year, I commented about how almost pairing had subtext, except McGee/Gibbs. And then, I watched the scene in Witch Hunt when Gibbs shows him how the neck was broken. But I often wondered what else McGee/Gibbs slasher saw, I really liked reading this post.
Gibbs first offers McGee is own personal computer; a huge ancient laptop.
Oh yeah! I loved how proud Gibbs was! Like "See? I have a computer too!"
And to add at your list, in Dog Tags, Tony went from slightly mocking to staying close with McGee talking and looking the wounds (during the Ducky/Palmer/Jethro scene of the beginning) and back to teasing (but it's usual and almost expected). Abby stayed worried even less longer. Only Gibbs never forgot Jethro could have killed Tim and kept reminding Abby, and giving to McGee the easiest works. There's also his Ross Geller smile when Gibbs came back from Mexico to stay.
Tony is feeling the stubble Tim is trying to grow in an attempt to look more masculine.
GIBBS: DiNozzo! Why are you touching his face?
TONY: I don't know. It's soft, like touching a bunny rabbit.
GIBBS: Don't!
*laughs again* I love seeing this scene from the slasher POV. There's something for you, for Tony/Tim slasher (Tony can't help touching and has a 'did I just do that' face when Gibbs bring him back to Earth) and for Gibbs/Tony (in a 'stop flirting with men who are not me' way).
It's one of the reason I like NCIS. there's something for everyone! Now I wonder if there's this kind of post for McGee/Ziva :D
