WARNING: SPOILERS for Hana Yori Dango (though very general)
Doumyouji and Makino are probably my favourite anime couple. They're funny and adorable, and have something of a Pride & Prejudice situation going on.
Doumyouji is the most popular guy in school, mostly thanks to his family's wealth, and at the beginning of their story, he's a total douche. Makino is the poor girl who got into the school on her grades alone, gets picked on by everyone, and doesn't put up with Doumyouji's crap at all. Of course, this intrigues Doumyouji, and he decides he'll do her the great favour of allowing Makino to hang out with him, which goes over about as well as you'd think.
The more Makino resists his debatable charms (occasionally with a kick to the head), the more fascinated he becomes, and slowly Doumyouji finds himself falling in love with this crazy, poor, unremarkable girl. As Doumyouji learns to be more human, Makino starts to have feelings for him as well. Their rocky relationship has it's ups and downs, with jealousy, mistrust, and Doumyouji's rich family threatening to keep them apart.
