Amazing, beautiful essay. I watched the original series only sporadically (yes, I'm a Next Gen fan, hee), and though I understood where the K/S slashers were coming from, I didn't really get it until now. You totally sold me.
Also, I foolishly didn't realized 'Closer' was available on line! I am downloading IMMEDIATELY.
