Those reasons are probably the reason why I almost exclusively ship pairings that have no chance of happening in canon. I guess I just have more fun exploring what could be as opposed to what is.
I love the fanarts too. We're lucky in our fandom to have some great artists, so I guess we at least have quality if not quantity ^_^
