Thanks for replying so thoguhtfully - I was worried that I'd come across as too agressive or flamey. To put my cards on the table, I don't really like A/C as a sexual ship, because I enjoyed the platonic A-C in S1-2 so much and thought it was something you don't often see in TV drama.
But I agree with most of what you say here, and think that the curse can be worked around so long as you don't just ignore it. I thought in canon the Baby Connor stuff was more problematic in that sense than the shipping could have been.
