Mm, Severus/Harry is pretty much my biggest ship of all time. As a matter of fact, there's only one thing/person in the world that I love more than them. So, you have me. I'm too tired to read through it right now, and frankly I'm afraid to run into spoilers. Yes, I refuse to read TDH and for good reasons too. In any case, I totally know what you mean. It's obvious that they don't like each other in the books, at least up until the seventh book. But in the fifth book, I think, they get their chance to change. At least, Harry does. And then it goes beyond that in the sixth book, and seventh even more so I'm sure. I know that they would fit so perfectly together that it seriously drives me nuts to think of them NOT together. But anyway. Yeah.
