I find it amazing that Jack met both Elizabeth and Will on the same day. If he had not saved Elizabeth's life, he would never have been forced to flee from Norrington and hide out in the very place that Will worked. What is interesting that Jack's connection to both of them remained strong throughout all three movies. He was responsible for Elizabeth becoming the new Pirate King of the Brethren Court and for Will becoming the new captain of the Flying Dutchman.
