I don't know that Bertie does it on purpose so much as he just listens to what Jeeves says and bits of it happen to stick, but it does mean that he's actively listening to Jeeves as opposed to the way his brain shuts down in self-defense whenever Florence opens her mouth, which is still just terribly sweet.
