You seem to be hooked on the point that there has to be positive feelings for a pairing. Subaru doesn't have happy relationships. He would never have a happy relationship with Seishirou either, or Kamui, or anyone. So yeah, Fubaru would be about more than the sex - it would be about the angst, the fact that Subaru is more or less getting used (IMHO) and just not caring by that point.
