According to Dave Matthews authorized guide to Pros, the last ep aired in February 1983. So by the summer of 1984 it had been off the air for a year and a half - and it had been a long time since the first ep aired in December 1977! But filming finished in May 1981; there was a big gap between the end of filming and the final transmission.
