I'm way late, both in commenting and in jumping on this bandwagon, but as a very new fan of these boys, I had to pop in a little "me too" post. With the proviso that I've seen very few eps as I have no cable, what most intrigues me about this post-apocalyptic is the paradox in trying to become an adult when there aren't any adult mentors or role models anymore. So much of the characters' attitudes toward sex seem jarringly youthful, as when the woman in "Sail Beyond the Stars" pulls away momentarily due not to any kind of adult trauma (related to intimacy or sex), but because of memories of her father's death. Also, the uncomfortably close conjunction between sex and emotional intimacy in the very first episode, when Kurdy clearly wasn't getting what he needed from his erotic encounter, seemed strangely child like. I'm not expressing this terribly well because I'm a bit over tired, but I think there's a wealth of material to be explored in this fandom regarding how people who are not fully adult in their psychosocial development manage sexual and romantic relationships, perhaps especially with regard to the growth and maturation such relationships may prompt.

Thank you for posting this and for your absolutely fabulous vids. I dearly hope that your post will encourage the cultivation of much Jeremiah fan fiction.

Again with apologies for my extreme lateness, if you're still in any way inclined to copy tapes, I would be incredibly grateful, especially for anything from season two.
