:-D Thank you for reading this, and letting me know it worked for you! I'm so glad. *purrs*
I have to admit I have no trouble slashing them despite Kurdy's attraction to women. Those long road trips together in the first season, when they're isolated and in continual danger, give them the grounding of trust and dependence that sees them through all the later events and their personal fracture.
Absolutely. And you know, it's funny, but I just had a thought about the "all these beautiful women around and you want me to grab your ass" line -- it never occurred to me before, but one could read an implication there that they're already accustomed to grabbing one another's asses when there aren't women around... ;-)
It really isn't hard for me to get there, either, but I addressed it in the essay because it's one reason I think there isn't more J/K slash out there. The love between them is obvious, but it requires a deeper emotional understanding of the characters and their world to see the possibility of taking it to a physical level, I think. Sometimes having a more sexually ambiguous character (like Markus, or like Ezra, for example) makes the slash more obvious to people, I think. Just my opinion!
Love the image of Jeremiah and Kurdy providing safe haven to one another. Thank you for that. *happy sigh* You know, you might think about writing that... :D
