Oh, great work! I needed someone to sell me on these two, and you very nearly have. I mean, they could just be the typical best girlfriend type relationship from all of this evidence, too, but even that opens the door for schoolgirl experimentation. Hee.
Anyway, that Hermione turned Ginny, not Neville down thing is my favorite part of this essay because it's such a neat twist. Also, I either see Neville and Ginny as belonging together, or both gay as daisies. So, it'd make sense for them to go to the Yule Ball together as a result. Stretching canon, yay!
