I'm not an IchiHime fan, but there's no denying it's possibility.
That's defitinely an awesome essay. It's only unfortunate that about 80% of this essay are about Orihime's feelings, actions, behaviour, etc. because KT doesn't give us much Ichigo --> Orihime. :/
Oh, and I'm confused why you are quoting Chad? I mean, "If I don't wield the sword, I can't protect you. If I keep wielding the sword, I can't embrace you." are Chad's words. And, well, they actually contradict Ichigo's feelings he voices in another poem:
It's rotating Rotating, every time the sun and moon touch each other Constantly, it changes its appearance to something new If there's something that doesn't change That would be my helplessness It's rotating If destiny is made of gears And we are the sand caught inbetween that is torn apart There's nothing to do but be helpless I just want power If I cannot not protect, even extending my hand I want a blade that I can grab in front of that The power to crush destiny Looks like a blade that is swung down
This poem is from Side A and I don't see any conflicting feelings here, unlike in Chad's poem. Ichigo is quite clear what he wants: Power.
