This is a great essay, well argued and clearly set out - I like your use of quotes and the artwork. This has given me much to think about, as I'm not into the HP fandom as such, but love the books. I rather took Bill/Fleur in on a very surface level - the comedy of Fleur and her relationship with Bill irritating Molly, Ginny and Hermione. Fleur herself has been growing on me since the film - oddly enough, the simple visual of her (and Olympe in the background) fighting in the tournament among the boys really endeared her to me. Like you point out, she has a lot of sterling qualities.
Reading the quote from GoF and how you put it makes me want to cheer for Fleur's reversal of the male gaze! I'm now really looking forward to reading about Bill and Fleur's wedding in Book 7 for their sakes, and will definitely have more to think about regarding their interaction when I reread the books in the interim period.
