X-men movie: slash included (no spoilers)

Sure, I could write a whole essay about the characters and the plot. Earlier movies certainly left slash possibilities open - lots of room for writers to play.

But why bother when the movies does it for you? We gleefully made plans to see this movie after seeing the trailers which seemed promisingly X/Magneto slashy. Now usually that's a prelude to disappointment (I'm looking at you, Sherlock Holmes).

In this case, the slash was underhyped and overdelivered. Our ribs are sore from elbowing each other, and there was real danger of exploding from repressed squeals of joy.

Not only do we get tender bonding moments and meaningful eye contact, we get a plethora of phallic symbols throughout the movie.

Thank you Hollywood. Now if you could just make sure the next Star Trek movie includes some serious CP/ZQ fan service, my faith in humanity will be utterly restored.

At one point during the movie, I was so afraid they would throw me out for squee-ing so much. I even caught myself with my mouth open in awe. LOVED ITTT

Fortunately, we were in a matinee showing with empty seats in front & back of us. So the many pantomimed squees and jaw-drops weren't seen!

I'm so happy we weren't the only ones to notice! The other moviegoers in our theater were 90%+ males - the geek crowd who escaped their cubes for an early movie. So there weren't any ripples of noise at the *ahem* appropriate moments except from us...

The crowd at the cinema I was at was pretty different when it came to age/sex, but yeah the moments made me glee in joy everytime Charles or Erik were on screen XD

THIS MOVIE, like I've always been a fan of the complicated relationship of Charles and Erik/Magnus (it's a thing, it happened Erik is better we all go by Erik) from the comics, to the cartoon, to the older movies, but this movie

Makes me wanna write fic, create graphics, and write an essay about their relationship all at once.

And hell to the yes to the new Star Trek movie!
