It took me a while to realise how much I actually enjoyed Warrick/Catherine - as you say, it's not perhaps the most obvious 'ship at first, but you've articulated pretty well why I did fall for them. They're not as tortured and angsty together and they actually seem to enjoy each other's company and just have a connection. Well put.
