I'm looking through this comm for new fandoms to get into, because I'm somewhat of a fandom whore. :)
Can I just say?
A slightly more sophisticated argument against it states that the purity of the fraternal relationship between the brothers is somehow damaged if one assumes that they are having sex. I don't buy into this either. Sex is not innately dirty, or unholy. For two people who love each other as deeply as Edward and Alphonse clearly do, sex could be a sacred thing - it all depends on how you write it.
This is a brilliantly succinct and eloquent section that really sums up why I don't see a problem with Sam/Dean in Supernatural, or other sibling pairings. This manifesto is very well-written.
