Wow. Thank you for taking the time and care to write this. I really like this couple and have been worrying to myself that they may not be a "real" couple but just wishful thinking on my part, even though I had heard they were characters made to honor a crew member who was gay. This has helped me out a great deal and ease my mind; they are really charming and endearing. They make a great statement on many levels as well, like openness and tolerance and that fact it is in a "children’s" show format makes it seem that maybe younger audience will learn and be open to relationships of this nature in there own lives in the future.
I don’t know what more evidence of a gay couple someone could ask for from a Disney animation, but we’ve got it here and I’ll take what I can get. Cheers are in order for you and Jumba and Pleakley!
