Hee, thanks! You know, I'd love to go into it more, maybe do an-anti manifesto on that pairing. It's a prime example of what happens when writers try to shoehorn a romance into a situation where it doesn't fit. I'm sure they thought that the enticement of Gary getting an insta-family, a possible wife and kid, would make the fans happy. But Kristy Swanson was absolutely the wrong choice for the role. While of course I prefer Gary paired with a strong female, I could also see him with a more nuturing type if the casting had been right. However, Erica came off as a midway between the two extremes, rendering her ineffectual.
