I can't tell you how impressed I am by this essay. I'm about as far from being a Fred/Wes shipper as you can get, yet this piece has opened my mind to the possibilities. You argue calmly and yet passionately, and it's just wonderfully refreshing to read. I especially admire how unstinting you are in your descriptions of Fred's psychology - Whether or not she does it consciously, Fred is an opportunist for her own survival strikes me as terribly true and very key to understanding her - and in examining Wes's darker tendencies.
