I'm guessing you've read the entire original script, since you mentioned it... Sarah had, in my opinion, a better character than what she ended up with (which kind of makes me sad, though for the most part, the extra slashiness just makes it better). They cut a lot of her lines out and her big duet with Jack. Which, you know, cuts the het relationship out of it, pretty much.
