Gah!

Whew!
I admit that I'm been pretty squeamish about the Giles/Joyce pairing, in my meanderings through Buffyverse. It always felt too...well, parental. Giles/Ethan, on the other hand, is a 'ship I've always found logical. But the three together...um. Not so much.

Having said that...well, you have shown me the error of my ways. After reading your manifesto, I went and glutted myself on the Menageaverse. Those stories are brilliant examples of character development. It took my breath away, seeing the gradual unfolding of this intricate relationship, and how it dramatically alters the participants. The twists in Buffyverse canon are plausible; even better, they grant both compassion and humanity to the later seasons (5 and especially 6)that the show deserved but didn't get from its writers. I found the handling of Joyce's illness deftly done; and I love, love, LOVE witnessing Ethan develop emotionally. His addition to the SunnyD crew is absolutely perfect. I have always felt that the Scoobs needed someone who wasn't afraid to bitch slap them as necessary and he's just the man for the job. I do find it amusing that it takes three adults to keep six young adults and a hyperactive, chipped vampire in line. Though...looking at the flip side, it's easy to see why seasons 5/6 spun so far out of control. Anyway...

Did I mention that this 'verse contains some of the hottest sex I've ever read, anywhere? Again with the Gah!. I bow down before in gratitude and awe.

I'm waiting with baited breath to see where this epic is going. Thanks for taking the risk to pursue this plot bunny.
