Voyager was the Star Trek I started watching when puberty was striking, and I found that I did ship them really hard in spite of the fact they were not 'the young couple' like Paris/B'elanna. They were, as someone else said, the mother/father pairing to the voyager crew. It was intelligent, they humoured each other, and seemed genuinely pleased to be around the other. Even now, when I watch episodes, I really wish they had made it because they were a perfect balance to each other. It would have a been a wonderful thing for Janeway to have. This manifesto was a really great insight into their journey and I really enjoyed reading it!
