I understand that now, but back then I was thirteen and didn't comprehend character development much past 'OMG teh pretteh!!'. Zechs was so complex a character that I didn't understand his motivations. I just thought he was totally insane.
*sigh* I love Gundam Wing.
And gee, thanks for that mental image. 0_0;
