What Giles says in "Lessons" is "Passiflora caerulea"- ths scientific name for blue passionflower, which is, indeed, the flower of Chilean origin which Willow pulls through the earth.

Great essay. I'm torn about the ship but the best Willow/Giles fics are particularly persuasive; they may be unequal in age bbut they meet very much as intellectual equals from the beginning of the series, and there's not the inequality of power which makes some Giles pairings uncomfortable.
