I confidently expect S-K UST in the BDM to "leave something for Miss Manners" for the second movie.

I think Simon is very, very brave BUT one reason he can be so reckless is that, like Buffy in the "The Gift," he's just had it up to HERE and is willing to "save the day, or maybe melt away--I guess it's all the same." But OiG shows that he's invested in surviving, at least SOME of the time.
