I recently understood why I so “attached” to Draco-cen fics – because usually ( in RL) it’s more easy to swim by the stream, it’s tempting to believe to newspaper / to legitimate authority without any "independent" thought - to forget about gift of “free will” - and the fics give to Draco *the opportunity to make his own choices *, to realize himself as person, to be more adult.(it’s not about a choice in binary system Light-Dark)
I don’t see that only Lupin can give that to him, but I agree that this pairing assumes many possibilities.
