I'm not much of a debater, so I think it would be best if we just agreed to disagree on this issue.
My manifesto was my attempt to explain how I feel about my ship: Harry/Hermione. What I wrote above is how I see it. My opinion. That's it. I don't want to change your mind. I don't want to argue it. That's the way I've read the books and the conclusions I've come to.
I'm perfectly aware that many people will disagree with me. I completely respect your viewpoint. It's perfectly understandable to me that you don't see Hermione as the heroine, or that you see Hermione and Ron as equals in their role of sidekicks. Obviously, that's not how I see it, but it would be awfully haughty of me to assume that everyone shares my opinion. *I* see Hermione as a heroine (certainly not you're typical heroine, but a heroine nonetheless), but I don't want to ask you to see her as such.
