:D I guess shippers who watch the anime before reading the manga would take that as the clinching moment ♥ It is rather cute and fanservice-y.
I have an impatience for fillers (even the 'Leaf of Revival' one, though I admit to laughing over the Allen/Lavi parts) so yep, it would be daunting indeed XD Although the episodes of Lavi's mind battle with Road was mad EXCITING :D And somebody actually went to count the number of times Allen said Lavi's name in those few episodes (in panic, in pleading, in anger etc) and came up to, I don't know, 20 plus or something. In two episodes. WIN. As for the novels, I found Lavi's story to be the most interesting, plus it gives a lot of material for analysing his character. So yes, we shall have more discussion about that!
(Do you need links to the novel translations? The links are collected here (http://www.dgraydivinity.net/forum/kandas-second-dojo/892-novel-translation-other-info.html). For Lavi's story, Part 1 (http://community.livejournal.com/dgray_man/658324.html), 2 (http://community.livejournal.com/dgray_man/712246.html), 3 (http://community.livejournal.com/dgray_man/741850.html), 4 (http://community.livejournal.com/dgrayman/34225.html), 5 (http://community.livejournal.com/dgrayman/91995.html). If you already have the links, well, uh, here's to prodding you into reading it XD)
Yup, I might make a post during the holidays in allen_rabi to discuss some of the things I couldn't include in this post! There's actually quite a lot of interesting stuff that lend themselves to different interpretations. And if more subtext pops up as the series continues... *g* I foresee a revised manifesto coming up in the next few years, heh. ♥
