I could see, perhaps, her wanting that relationship back in her weakest moments, because she missed the feeling of being understood and cherished but then acknowledging that even if they did get back together that they could never have that (faked) bliss. I think he first has to regain her trust before they have a healthier relationship. (Even then, that almost innocent and ideal relationship wouldn't return, something more mature/wary, would take it's place...and now I want to write a fic about it. Crud.) I usually back-button out of those kinds of fics very quickly. I could never stand a fic where Raven just tossed herself at his feet--unless, that was kind of the point and it isn't treated as TWU LUV, more like a twisted sadomasochist bond.
That's certainly who I could imagine a bitter and reflective Raven might think back on it years down the line. :P By the end of the show, I always imagined she'd be too hurt to take him back unless something big, and I mean BIG, happened.
