Two back to back caps from the anime. England is concerned about America's health (because he eats so many hamburgers and the like), and America assures him he's fine. Those are the looks they give each other.
England checking America out in a snazzy suit. Takes place Pre-Revolutionary War.

In which America jokingly asks England if he wants to sleep with him that night (because England is scared of a ghost). Note England's reaction.
During WWII, they end up shipwrecked in Seychelles. This scene is that night. England says he's cold and shivers, not so subtly inviting America to get in bed with him (no, really). America is a troll and says he isn't going to do anything. xp
This scene speaks for itself. Yes, England is sweating and blushing and shaking and can't even look at America. And America acts oblivious, but his huge blush speaks the truth.
Pretty self-explanatory. XD

Date: 2009-07-12 01:45 am (UTC)Happy Birthday is the strip that truly made me an AmericaxEngland shipper. England is still sore about the Revolutionary War, even now. So he plainly doesn't like the fourth of July. America's surprised, but touched when he shows up at his party. Then England goes tsundere and says he hates this week and that he's feeling terrible, to which America replies that he feels awesome the whole week (then when he sees that it truly upsets England, rectifies that he was just joking). England says not to joke about that because 'it makes him feel as if his heart is being crushed,' and America says he's relieved that England is okay. And it's a great scene and there's much blushing and just a really palpable sense of the depth of their emotions toward each other. England gives America a gift, which appears to be a gag gift, but underneath, there's a real gift as well. ♥
In the ice cream strip, England doted by America's bedside. Now we have America doing the same (this strip is totally crack though, I'm not even going to try to explain it). America completely bawls over England in it though, truth.
There are so many scenes like this, where America just pokes him and touches him (see icon, in that one he's got a massive blush).

For some reason, Hidekaz felt is necessary to draw chibi England looking quite flustered while wearing America's coat.
