Yay for Harry/Draco (Harry Potter)!
Wow, there were a lot of shows/books/comics I haven't seen/read yet.
I was a little surprised not to see any Heero/Duo (Gundam Wing) since it's one of the oldest and popular slash pairings in anime/manga. Or Naruto/Sasuke (Naruto). I mean, according to fanfiction sites, they are in league with Harry Potter! Weird.
I wonder how you're going to tally this all up since I'm sure I'm not the only one to randomly click a pairing just to move on. Probably would have been better with those 'click all that apply' buttons.

Gosh, it's a closer match for Goombella/Vivian than I thought! Lemme see if an art and subtext can turn the tables...

Harry/Draco vs. Rhett/Scarlet? Man, talk about a tough decision... ^^;

Why must you pit Jeremy/Jaime from Women of the Otherworld against Meg and Calvin O'Keefe? WHYYYYYYY? I mean, not only do I really really like both of them, but they're... not really comparable or the same age group or... whatever.

Anyway, lots of fun!

I don't know, I would have pitted Fruits Basket against Ouran Host Club because they are comparable genres.

Okay, my actual number one OTP period is Roy/Ed, but that's very popular and probably doesn't need pimping, so I've decided to take on the less popular, but clearly awesome Takaya Abe and Ren Mihashi of the amazing ~~and totes ghei~~ high school baseball anime and manga Ookiku Furikabutte, aka Oofuri.

Abe and Mihashi have the most classic relathionship in sports- pitcher (Mihashi) and catcher (Abe) aka a battery. Batteries are known to be close, especially in Japan, where it has particular emphasis. At first, Abe and Mihashi don't act like a proper battery. Mihashi cries a lot and has low self-esteem due to pitching poorly at his previous school (and getting hatred from his teammates for it) and thinks no one will like him. Abe is annoyed by Mihashi's weak attitude and thinks he could never be friends with a guy like that. However, Abe is pushed by the team's coach Momokan to put his trust in Mihashi and to befriend him, as well as to "hold his hand." Yep, the coach is a closet fujoshi! xD As time goes on, the two begin to understand each other nad form a close bond, to the point where they will often, as Momokan earlier instructed, hold hands and tell each other "daisuki" ("I like you," often meant in a romantic way). Whenever Mihashi is nervous, like when he has to pitch against his old school, Abe is there to support him. Due to Abe's guidance, Mihashi becomes a good pitcher. The two of them are complete opposites, but they have a strong bond.

Fraser/Kowalski is a big pairing, I know. But have you guys seen Strangers with Candy? A lot of people haven't and, let me tell you, most people I've turned on to the series have fallen in love with it. Chuck and Geoffrey (and their illicit gay affair) is an integral part of the show.

The Premise: Jerri Blank (portrayed by Amy Sedaris (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0781238/)) is a forty-six year old woman who, after getting out of jail, moves back home and enrolls in high school. The show is a parody of after school specials, and so each episode has a 'lesson' - the drugs episode, the snitching episode, the racism episode, etc. However, Jerri never seems to get the lesson quite right. The show is HUGELY offensive yet RIDICULOUSLY funny.

The Guys:

Charles "Chuck" Noblet, going through his rock star phase
Noblet (portrayed by Stephen Colbert (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0170306/)) is the Social Science teacher at Flatpoint High, where Jerri goes to school. He is married to a woman named Claire, whose name he NEVER remembers, and has one son, but he is gay gay gay. He's closeted, though, so he makes a point of telling people that he's married.

Geoffrey Jellineck, pronounced 'JOFF-rey'
Jellineck (portrayed by Paul Dinello (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0227576/)) is the Arts teacher at Flatpoint High. Along with the principle and the coach, he and Noblet make up the only regular staff at the school. Jellineck fancies himself an artist, but he is untalented and lazy. He is also the most narcissistic character I have ever seen XD

The 'Ship: Chuck/Geoffrey is established as canon in the second episode, which opens with them flirting (and then having sex) in a public washroom. (Okay, we don't actually see the sex, but trust me on this (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x25y0g_bathroom_people)). Throughout the series they continue to have sex on the school grounds, including in the boiler room and in various bathrooms. They keep their relationship a secret, or try to, mostly because of Chuck's insecurities. As seen in Hit and Run, Chuck is terrified of coming out as 'friendly' with Geoffrey. Meanwhile, Geoffrey's fairly effeminate and flamboyant, and in that same episode he tries to be more public with Chuck ... before he's hit by the car, anyway. They are both seriously screwed up individuals (Chuck is hateful and spiteful, not to mention his issues with being gay; Geoffrey is narcissistic and rude) and yet, in their own way, they love eachother. Kind of. It is important to note that when they do finally come out (in the last episode, infront of a class of students) no one even bats an eye.
