This is... so great and so wonderful. Back when I first saw this comm, I wondered why there was no manifesto for this pairing, but dammit if I'm not absolutely filled with glee right now. For such a wonderful, thought-invoking, precious thing like this, I'd wait forever.
You just... had them spot on here. I like how you point how, dear God, the baggage they carry and how the relationship is going to be difficult, but oh God, the love, is so there.
I've seen people boggle at the prospect of Arnold/Helga, so a well-thought essay like this is perfect for at least making people realize that while it won't be an easy road (baggage, like we were saying) it's a plausible one.

Tutoring Arnold (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3648923/1/Tutoring_Arnold) and Arnold's couch confession (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1262321/1/Arnolds_Couch_Confessions), because like everyone in the fandom, I absolutely adored the "Helga on the Couch" episode and I find that fanfic to be made of awesome.
