Uh, hi. I'm Murf, and I just wanted you to know that your manifesto helped me get into TOS. I saw the 2009 movie in theaters, and I immediately saw K/S (I've been shipping slash for nigh on four years now, since I was twelve, so that wasn't an issue.). I also was aware K/S was the Original Slash Pairing, so I decided to go check out this comm for a manifesto -- I knew there had to be one, somewhere.
I saw this, read it, and thought to myself "Oh my God. If she's right, if this is what she's telling me it is, this could damn well be the greatest love story ever told." So I started watching the episodes you reccomended, and fell in love with the show and the pairing.
That June, I watched TWOK and TSFS one after the other -- my dad had them on VHS -- and concluded that, yes, this is the greatest love story ever told.
So, thank you. You showed me the greatest, purest love that has ever existed in fiction -- and it probably beats out the vast majority of IRL loves, too.
