"This simple feeling" is from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The other one is from "Turnabout Intruder" (season 3).
Do you think it's possible that Shatner & Nimmoy had it in mind too? Bcause that would just be so awesome!
I can't really say... I don't think Nimoy did, but I think he's relatively okay with the concept now. He signed a beautiful piece of K/S art for someone I know. As for Shatner, he might be less okay with the concept, I'm not sure -- however, those who know him say that he flirts with everyone and everything, it just comes naturally. I think that's a big part of what we read as subtext -- Shatner's flirting. (Check out the end of "Galileo Seven," omg.) I doubt he really had much idea about Kirk/Spock specifically, but I think in general, he's a very flirty, sexual creature, and that's just how he interacts with the world.
Roddenberry knew about K/S and was pretty open to it. He addressed it directly in a footnote in the novelization of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
